Hillside sun streaked
Cool wings of breezes
From some far away land or sea
Brush past
As if answering
Questions that keep the heart beating.
These mountains are stark and distant
Their aloofness silences every quest.
Only the sky in its reassurances
Spreads its blue sheet like a veil of prayer.
A road meanders uphill for miles
Slowly the traffic crawls forward to the top
Braving patches of landslip and broken rocks.
Life is gruesome, yes...
But above us are abodes of tranquil clouds
Where proud birds circle with ease.
